American Heroes for North Carolina (AH4NC) presents $5,000.00 check to The Servant Center, to assist with Veteran Housing.

AH4NC is an active partner with The Servant Center, a Greensboro, North Carolina nonprofit, established in 1993 with a mission to empower the homeless and disabled, particularly Veterans, to become independent, contributing members of our community through healthcare, housing, and restorative services.

On behalf of The Servant Center, AH4NC submitted a grant request to the Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) for funding under a program created by the generous support of Craig Newmark Philanthropies, funds designed to provide emergency financial assistance to veterans, service members, their families, and their caregivers.

The Bob Woodruff Foundation finds, funds and shapes innovative programs across the nation that produce measurable outcomes and that best meet the emerging and long-term needs of today’s Veterans and their families.

Recently, AH4NC President Jim Hoffman and AH4NC Board Member Cory Spoor presented a $5,000.00 check to Shanna Reece, Executive Director for The Servant Center, which AH4NC received from the BWF grant.

The Servant Center’s Rapid Rehousing program will use the BWF grant to house veterans facing homelessness in the Triad. The program will assist the veterans to secure permanent housing, through a combination of housing-focused case management and financial assistance, in the form of rent, utilities, deposits and moving cost.
