American Heroes for North Carolina supports Medicaid Expansion Bill in NC Legislature.
Medicaid Expansion will help over 14,000 Veterans in North Carolina obtain proper medical coverage. Many Veterans already receive adequate care from the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). However, some Veterans and their families do not have immediate access to VA Medical Facilities to receive care for themselves and for their families.
Medicaid Expansion will allow many Veterans to get assistance for medical coverage, especially those who fall in the Medicare Coverage Gap – those who make too much money to access care on the Exchange, but who make too little money to obtain their own health insurance.

On June 22, AH4NC President Jim Hoffman introduced Chaplain (Major General) Doug Carver, USA Ret., former Chief of Chaplains for the United States Army to an auditorium full of legislators, during the 2022 short session of the NC Legislature. Major General Carver spoke passionately about the selfless service of our military veterans and about the plight of our military service members and their families. He highlighted our moral obligation to care for our veterans because of their valuable service to the nation.
